Asian Communities in New Zealand are taking a big relief action to pay tribute and help those affected in SEA-EAT.

Initiated by Kenneth Wang MP, nearly 20 Asian communities with different cultural and religious background have already joined in this united action, busy preparing for a relief concert in order to raise fund for the survivors. This can be seen as an unprecedented effort Asian New Zealanders have made so far.

The concert, expected of high quality featuring one of New Zealand’s best pianist John Chen, will be held at 7:30pm on 22 January 2005 in Auckland Parnell Cathedral of Holy Trinity (446, Parnell Road, Parnell, Auckland), and fund will be raised by ticket booking ($20 or more/ per person, $100 or more/ VIP; cash or cheque made out to Asian Tsunami Relief Fund or ATRF).

“Let our hearts go out to the people hit and let music convey our care to them”, that is NZ Asians’ biggest hope.
