ACT Botany Candidate Kenneth Wang refuses to alter signs following National Party complaint.

Botany Electorate candidate Kenneth Wang is laughing off requests by the National Party asking him to remove his hoardings. The hoardings read "Vote Kenneth Wang, get Wang + Wong". National are claiming that this message breaches the Electoral Finance Act by asking for a vote for National and their candidate.

While National has threatened to take a complaint to the Electoral Commission, Mr Wang has obtained legal advice and is confident that a complaint would be dismissed.

"The complaint is farcical. Our message is very clear: We are asking people to give their candidate vote to Kenneth Wang," he said.

"Pansy Wong obviously feels threatened. She knows our message is correct and that she is already guaranteed a place in parliament on the National party list," said Mr Wang. "So Botany voters are far better off voting for myself to ensure two talented MPs working for Botany in Wellington".

Botany is one of two seats where ACT is campaigning strongly for the electorate vote.
